Torts--Compensation--Commission of Murder--Murder was committed by defendants by causing multiple injuries on person of deceased--Deceased was an agriculturist--Compensation awarded in sum of Rs.2,50,000/- not on higher side.
Torts--Compensation--Commission of Murder--Suit for recovery of compensation for commission of murder--Plaintiff proved that murder was committed by defendants by causing multiple injuries on person of deceased--Deceased was an agriculturist--Courts below came to conclusion that even it was assumed that deceased was unskilled labourer his income could not said to be less than 50/60 per day and as such his monthly income could not be Rs.1800/-.--Multiplier of 14 applied as age of deceased was 30/35 years of time of death--Compensation awarded in sum of Rs.2,50,000/- not on higher side--No interference.
