v.
Jarnail Singh
{Decided on 27/01/2009}
Present: Mr. A. K. Sharma, Sr. DAG, Punjab.
Civil Procedure--Signature--Comparison of--If only the named executant denied the signatures there was a scope for examination of an expert fitness after having the document verified by him. A person is an expert in relation to his own signature and there can be no better person than the author himself. No person could call himself as an expert to substitute the evidence of the author of the document. There is no justification for permitting the defendant to adduce any evidence to discredit the signature of the person who affirms it through as an alleged expert.
